Pick HazardCo if

  • You want someone to call. Every plan includes health and safety advice over the phone, and support if there's an incident on site.
  • You want the safety paperwork done with you: a site-specific safety plan generator, a health and safety policy and procedures document, and templates its specialists keep up to date.
  • You want workers to build a site-specific SWMS in the app and send it to you to sign.
  • Your sites have patchy signal. HazardCo's app keeps an induction done offline and sends it later. Foreman needs a connection to submit.
  • You build three or more homes a year. HazardCo's own FAQ says that's where it works best.

Pick Foreman if

  • Your SWMS and safety plans are already sorted, and you need the gate and the daily record: inductions, the site diary and crew hours.
  • You want workers to induct in the phone's browser, without downloading an app or creating an account.
  • You want a site diary with photos in the same app as the inductions. HazardCo's pricing and builder pages don't list one.
  • You'd rather go month to month than sign a 12-month term, and run a full job free instead of a 7-day trial.
  • You run one or two jobs a year, or lots of small ones, and don't want to pay per project.

Moving from HazardCo

If your HazardCo term is coming up for renewal, run your next job on Foreman free first. Attach your site-specific safety plan and SWMS to the project's induction so workers read them before they sign, rebuild your site review and toolbox talk checklists as Foreman forms, and put the QR sign on the gate. Workers' HazardCo accounts don't carry over, so each worker answers your induction the first time they scan. If you rely on HazardCo's phone advice, plan where that will come from before you switch.

We’ll help you move. Export your HazardCo records before your renewal date, especially anything your ISO or WorkSafe audits rely on. Tell us you’re switching and we’ll help you bring them into Foreman.

What does HazardCo cost a small team?

What Foreman leaves out, on purpose

Foreman does site inductions, the site diary, crew hours, tasks, forms and project documents, and keeps them simple enough for the whole crew. It leaves out estimating, quoting, invoicing, scheduling and job costing. If you need those in the same system as your site records, a full construction management platform will suit you better.
