Sitemate and Dashpivot alternatives for small builders, and how Foreman compares

Foreman is the QR code site induction and site diary app for small Australian builders. Here is how it compares with Sitemate's Dashpivot, a forms platform you build your site paperwork in, on price, licence minimums and how fast you can start.

Every Sitemate detail checked against Sitemate’s own pages on 12 October 2026.

The short answer

For a small team, Foreman is the simpler Dashpivot alternative: inductions and a site diary ready on day one, with no licence minimum or annual commitment. Your first project is free with every feature, then it's $29 a month for each person with a login. Sitemate's Dashpivot is AUD $28 to $94 per user a month on a monthly term, with a 10-licence minimum for businesses of 10 to 99 employees.

Moving from Sitemate

Set up a project, add your site documents and SWMS, and put the QR sign on the gate. Workers induct on their own phone the next time they arrive, and your crew can write the day's diary entry from the same app. Your first project is free, so you can run one job on both before you decide.

What it costs for a small team

Sitemate: on a monthly term, 11 Dashpivot Contributors cost $308 a month on Standard, or $550 on Pro, which is the plan that includes visitor access. Businesses with 10 to 99 employees must start with at least 10 Contributor licences.

Foreman: 11 people with logins cost $319 a month, or $255.20 a month billed yearly, with every feature. Subbies and visitors who only induct at the gate are free.

What Foreman leaves out, on purpose

Foreman does site inductions, the site diary, crew hours, tasks, forms and project documents, and keeps them simple enough for the whole crew. It leaves out estimating, quoting, invoicing, scheduling and job costing. If you need those in the same system as your site records, a full construction management platform will suit you better.
