- Can I run my daily pre-start in Foreman?
- Yes. In Foreman a pre-start is a form your site manager fills in on their phone, with the date locked to the day they send it. The free pre-start checklist template has the headings to build it from.
- Is there an app for daily pre-starts?
- Yes. Build your pre-start once as a Foreman form and limit it to site managers and admins. Each morning the site manager fills it in on their phone with the date locked to today and signs on screen, and the pre-start is saved against the job. For a record from each worker, the crew send a short sign-on form of their own.
- Can I build a SWMS in Foreman?
- Yes, two ways. Upload the SWMS you already have as a PDF to the project's OHS Information, and everyone who inducts onto the site sees it above the induction declaration before they sign. Or build it as a form with the hazards, controls and a signature, set to Site Managers and Admins only if your leads prepare it.
- Do I have to build every form from scratch?
- New accounts start with one sample template, and you build the rest to match how you already work. A simple form takes a few minutes. If you have it as a PDF, Claude or ChatGPT connected to Foreman can build it for you. ChatGPT needs a paid plan with Developer mode turned on to do this.
- Can I keep permits to work in Foreman?
- Yes. Build a permit form for hot works, working at heights or any other permit you issue, with the conditions as a checklist and a signature at the end. Every completed permit is kept against the job.
- Who can see the forms my crew send?
- Admins see every submission. Site Managers see the submissions on the projects they manage. Crew can look back over the forms they sent themselves, read-only, and never see anyone else's.
- Will Foreman get me through a WorkSafe or ISO audit?
- Foreman keeps the records an auditor asks for, each filed against the job with who sent it and when, and dated on the day wherever you locked the date. Passing depends on what your forms ask and how the work is done on site. Foreman makes the evidence easy to find and hand over.
- Do my crew need to download an app?
- No. Foreman runs in the browser on the phone they already carry, and each person signs in with their own login. Forms need a connection to send, so fill them in where there's signal.
